In our first three podcast episodes we’re taking the opportunity to celebrate International Women’s Day. The theme of this year’s IWD is “Breaking the Bias”, encouraging us to examine how bias is playing out in our communities, our workplaces, our schools, and universities – and how we can tackle it.

Over three episodes in March we’re going to dive into these issues by speaking to a diverse range of amazing men and women in the SPP community to get their perspectives, and hopefully breaking down some stereotypes along the way.

Episode 2: When to encourage someone to “speak last” with Bronte Neyland

Bronte Neyland is a leader in Australia’s International Education sector. As Vice-President, Future Students and Marketing at Victoria University Bronte was focused on developing and executing student recruitment strategy s and building the University’s brand and reputation.

SPP Principal Clara Yates chats with Bronte about her early career journey in Japan, her perspectives on what it means to be an inclusive leader, and why she has sometimes encouraged colleagues to “speak last”. We also ask Bronte what International Women’s Day means to her (and discuss why there aren’t more men involved!)

In our second segment SPP Senior Associate Lisa Nawarra leads a discussion with Senior Engagement Manager Konnie Tsimiklis and Partner Noel Leung on the topic of what organizations can do to better support women in the workforce.
